Ken Loi and Sean Beckwith came together in 2005 to produce under
the moniker Elucidate. Beckwith already had some DJ experience
under his belt, having held several club residencies in both LA
and SF. Loi had relatively little experience with trance
production, which he quickly proved to be of no hindrance,
creating intricate trance tracks within months of working with
Beckwith. While the two pushed for better quality productions,
they began creating a name for Elucidate with their solid mixing
abilities, landing a residency on Digitally Imported Radio, and
later on Afterhours.fm as well as other stations. Elucidate mixes
became synonymous with quality trance liberally peppered with
chilling vocals. With superb mix after mix hitting the airwaves
for the world to hear, Elucidate began to receive booking requests
that took them out of their dimly lit studio and into bright
lights of club land. Their dexterity behind the decks was
immediately apparent in their live shows, and the bookings
continued. Concurrently, the Elucidate production sound began to
come into its own, and landed them their first remix which was
released on a small digital label by the name of Ampire Digital.
The release was small and attained minimal support, but it was a
start, and it was proof their productions could make a label.
Working hard to get another track signed, both Sean and Ken pushed
their productions to anyone who would listen. Finally, during a
live set, J. Scott G. of Deepsky and Summer Channel heard
Elucidate hammering one of their newest productions. The track was
a floorfiller, and while still behind the decks, J. Scott G. asked
Elucidate to remix Summer Channel's newest release. The Elucidate
remix of Summer Channel's "Undertow" did well, earning a spot in
regular rotation on XM Radio's "The System" as well as being
supported by numerous DJ's internationally, including Airbase and
Victor Diniare. Looking to follow up their successful remix,
Elucidate produced a bootleg remake of the trance classic
"Skydive". The "Skydive Elucidate 2008 Remix" earned massive
support, finding its way into Ferry Corsten's live sets, including
his sets at WMC and at the legendary Arches in Glasgow, UK. The
track was also supported by George Acosta, and many other A-list
jocks, solidifying the Elucidate name with top notch productions.
Always intent on keeping the grade of their productions moving in
an upward manner, Ken and Sean hit the studio once again, this
time emerging with several new tracks, all of which have
subsequently been signed and are waiting for release in summer
'08.
